This video will be available again in 2007

A practical dog obedience training video that will give you proven, real-world information you can use immediately.

You'll discover in this dog obedience training video tape I've packed a lot of key information into an easy-to follow 6 lesson plan. This is an effective dog training program that gives you what you need to know about basic pet obedience.

this is a useful dog training video that can show you how to really get your dog under control.

Learn a simple leash exercise to keep your dog from pulling. This technique even work for obedience school drop outs.

Training can be the answer to many behavior problems and control issues.

Learn how to get compliance, without your dog becoming food reward dependent and without using excessive force.

I originally developed this video tape for my clients use, now it's available to the general public

Tape #1 also includes, at no extra charge my booklet "Dog Behavior Success Guide".

Start by learning how to use the concepts of lures and positive reinforcement (food rewards) for teaching. You will find it beneficial to teach your pet exactly what you want before you start using a lot of physical manipulation.

Always teach exactly what you want before you expect your canine amigo to perform the behavior under any extra stress.

Discover a sophisticated reinforcement based method to teach your dog the command "off" which means not to touch, jump, or sniff,

The commands taught in this program:

"easy" (not to pull on the leash)

"heel" ( to walk with the pets shoulder next to the handlers leg)

"sit"

sit stay

"down"

down stay

informal recall ( pet comes when you call its name)

formal recall command "come" or "hear"

"off" (don't touch)

other areas covered are

• conditioning the pet to "good" and "no"

• beginning handling exercises (food based)

• Play retrieve exercise

This beginning program covers three of the primary foundation exercises Andrew Ledford uses - to teach dogs how to learn more effectively.

These exercises are:

• The "off" exercise = "don't touch" this is a food reinforcement based exercise. The "off" exercise will teach your canine sidekick how to pay attention and how to focus. It also can build self control.

• "Easy" exercise= not to pull on the leash. This exercise teaches the pet and the owner how to work with a lose leash. The "easy" exercise is a leash and correction collar based exercise. The "easy exercise accomplishes some of the same things as the "off" exercise along with teaching your canine companion to walk on a lose leash and not to pull.

• Handling exercises; beginning handling exercises are food reinforcement based exercises. These exercises are designed to help prevent aggression and fear, they also help build trust between the dog and the handler. Beginning handling exercises are also an important part of teaching the "off" command.
