two
day group dog training
workshop
Helping
people live better lives through understanding the human/dog experience
Two day dog training workshops are ideal for dog owners
who don’t have time for a multi week group dog training class. It’s
a conundrum, that people who are socially responsible are also the ones
who have very little free time. Even with limited spare time responsible
dog owners still want to teach their dogs safe and socially acceptable
behavior. With our weekend dog training you can learn strategies and techniques
for having a well behaved pet without committing to months of group classes.
The two day group dog training class/workshop will help
you develop an action plan designed to meet your lifestyle and needs.
You will learn training techniques and other skills to support your dog
training goals. The weekend dog training workshop will emphasize the use
of positive reinforcement, but we do use more traditional training tool
as well. While we emphasize positive reinforcement the underlying principles
will work with other styles of dog training too.

The two day dog training workshop is ideal for pet owners who are short
on time. With work and family obligations it can be difficult to set aside
4 to 8 weeks for a traditional group dog training class. In Southern California
there is also the inconvenience of early evening traffic. Early evenings
are when many group dog training classes are held. Time restrictions and
heavy traffic are some of the main reasons we created weekend dog training
workshops. With the two day workshop pet teems from Los Angeles to Palm
Springs can enjoy the benefits of our training programs. Think of the
weekend trip to our location as your dog’s big learning adventure.
For those who are interested in continuing their dog knowledge, we offer
regular monthly training for former workshop members and ongoing internet
support.
Our weekend workshop consists of eight to ten hours of
handler/dog training. Most dog obedience training classes consists of
four to eight hours of class time over a one to two month period. Now
with our new weekend dog training you can get our basic pet behavior program
in just two days.
The two day dog training workshop primarily teaches basic
pet behavior. Basic pet behavior is comprised mainly of drills and techniques
to make dog ownership a safe and pleasant experience. The drills we teach
will be useful for controlling behavior in ways that promotes safe human/dog
interaction. This could be not jumping, not pulling on the leash, or to
come when called.
The main purpose of basic pet behavior is to teach our
canine friends safe responses for hazardous situations. These exercises
comprise the hazard avoidance drill. Another reason to train our pets
is to make them more pleasant to be around, these skills I classify as
social skills or manners.
Many of the basic pet behavior exercise and commands
are useful for both hazard avoidance and peasant social behavior. It is
interesting to note that manners from a human society and those of a dog
pack can disagree with each other. We are fortunate that dogs are so adaptable.
Through training and good breeding we can keep our dogs adaptive.
In our weekend training workshops you’ll learn
dog training techniques as well as a game plan to successfully train your
dog.
The two day training program also includes an enhanced
membership on the RenChenZa.com website. The friend of RenChenZa®
membership provides the support material for most of our training programs.
Included in the friends of RenChenZa® membership is access to our
first video and soon we will also have our reinforcement training manual
on line too. Plus you get access to members’ only message boards.
You can also use the RenChenZa® website to keep in touch with the
new friends you make at the workshop. If you don’t have anyone to
practice with RenChenZa.com can be used to find training a partner. It
is often easier to actually get out there and practice if you do it with
another person.
Owners will come away from the two days of dog training
with a dog training action plan and the necessary skills to continue their
training at home.
